We are proud to offer programs to support our community. Still, we must tell others how the Dawn of Hope partners directly with local institutions and organizations to reach girls and young adults.
Our ability to create access and opportunity to connect the community to vital youth services is strengthened by our relationships with schools, churches, and other organizations in the cities where we have programs. We offer more than after-school programs and clubs. We are intentional in what we offer and strategic in who we select to partner with, and purpose with who leads and shares space with our participants.
We started with humble beginnings with four girls, but we are excited about our ability to extend our character-building services to even more areas and participants. We create intentional systems, with opportunity and change agency. That passion for meeting needs where they are has led us to spend the last decade on a deep dive into what communities needed most.
With the inclusion of virtual program sessions and virtual coaching/mentoring, not only can we directly serve our girls and young ladies in New Jersey, Texas, and Georgia, but we can facilitate sessions wherever---whenever, including the partnership with associations in additional states to offer the benefit of distance mentoring, character education, and wellness education.
Dawn of Hope, Inc. has spent years understanding the best ways to reach girls and young women in various communities. We understand that not all programs work in all areas, which is why we make a point to build services that make sense for the areas we support. Some may benefit more from coaching on self-esteem and social advocacy, while others may be more interested in completing programs at their local church or community organization.
We understand that there are many ways to help girls and young women feel connected to others and feel great about themselves – whether that’s urban gardening or learning what the field of technology has to offer for Black and brown girls. When they have positive relationships with adult role models, peers, and themselves – they thrive.
